KUALA LUMPUR, 12 MARCH 2024 – Digital Nasional Berhad (DNB) has successfully obtained the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification for information security management systems (ISMS) on 22 December 2023.

ISO/IEC 27001 is the international standard that defines an organisation’s information security management systems, providing companies of any size and from all sectors of activity with guidance for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving an information security management system. ISO standards are regularly reviewed to ensure its requirements reflect best practices for organisations, as well as the needs of customers in an evolving marketplace.

This certification is integral for DNB to meet the licencing obligation with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) and to ensure that DNB’s 5G network is resilient against cyber-attacks. This includes not only the ability to detect, but to recover and comply with both Malaysian and International laws, regulations and standards, as well as continually improve the information security management system.
